Our story

The coffee is how. The career is why.

We Make Coffee opened the door. The Inclusionary Learning Café™ is the pathway behind it, a two-year program that turns a working café into a classroom and learning into earning.

The gap

School ends. The supports shouldn’t.

For many young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the last day of school is the moment structure, staff, and daily routine disappear. Talent and drive are still there. A clear path to a job often isn’t.

Families end up building that bridge alone. We started We Make to change that, and we built the Inclusionary Learning Café™ so no one has to start from scratch.

What we believeEvery student deserves a path that leads somewhere. A café is where it begins.

The bridges we’re building

School to workClassroom learning becomes paid-job readiness through daily practice and live practicums.
Families to employersFamilies see what their student can do, and employers see a record that shows it.
Partners to peopleEvermore Coffee Roasters, Bank of Princeton, schools, and providers each teach a piece of the job.
